Lauren Stone, the fashion designer best known for her design work on the cover of the now-defunct Hunger Games series, has created her own book cover for her site, The Daily Beast reports.
Stone designed the cover to commemorate the publication of her latest book, The Little White Book, which was published by Penguin Random House on September 13.
She chose the cover for the book in tribute to the “lucky” book that was “not in the store,” the book’s publisher, Penguin Random Press, wrote on its website.
“It wasn’t in the catalog, but it was not in the catalogue, either,” Stone told the outlet.
“The luckiest thing I could think of was a book that wasn’t on sale.”
“If you think about the ‘bigger picture,’ this book is not just about the book itself,” she added.
“This book is about people.
It’s about a community.
And if you’re not part of that community, it’s not going to happen.”
The Little Book was published in 2013 by Penguin Books and is the second book by Stone to receive a cover design in the series.
Stone also shared the cover design on Instagram.
“Just finished the cover!
#bookcover,” Stone wrote.
