Juventus striker Roberto Soldado wants to join Napoli

By Football Italiano Roberto Soldo is one of the stars of the Serie A season and is hoping to leave Napoli this summer.

The 26-year-old joined Napoli in January 2016, signing for a transfer fee of €24 million from Udinese.

The former Genoa player scored 19 goals in 41 appearances and was the subject of an offer from the Giallorossi this summer, but the Bianconeri rejected the bid.

However, Soldado’s agent, Fabrizio Bizzaro, says he is willing to negotiate a move for Napoli, despite the fact that he does not believe his client is for sale.

“Saleado is a great player,” Bizzario told Football Italo.

“He is one who is always looking for the next opportunity and I am ready to negotiate.

I will always keep him in my thoughts.”

Napoli were unable to land the player, despite being able to offer a fee around €22m for him, but Soldado did leave the Nerazzurri this summer and was part of the Napoli squad that defeated Sassuolo 2-1 in the Champions League last weekend.

“We were very close with Udinese and we were interested in him, we were convinced he was for sale and the deal went through,” he added.

“I am happy at Udinese because I had the opportunity to play for them in my youth days, and I had a very good experience there.

I love the club and want to play there.”
